Lewes Lights is a self-guided Holiday Lights driving tour through the City of Lewes, Delaware Dec 4th thru Dec 31st, 2020. A grass roots effort organized by a group of holiday spirited Lewes Locals. Digital tour maps will be available Dec 3rd, 2020 at LewesLights.org.
Grab your family, bring your hot cocoa, blast your favorite Holiday tunes and merrily venture thru neighborhoods throughout the historic first Town of Lewes in the first State of Delaware.
In celebration of the Lewes Lights inaugural year, event organizers will host a virtual opening ceremony(Covid safe) on Dec 4th in true Clark Griswold style! Join us virtually at 6pm via Facebook and WRDE as we countdown to the lighting of decorated homes along Sussex Drive in Lewes, Delaware! Event creators Christian Mullins & Debra Evalds will recognize distinguished guests from the City of Lewes, State & County Officials, members of the press and Santa Claus followed by details of the month long celebration. The event will conclude with a countdown and illumination of lights throughout the Sussex Drive neighborhood!
WHAT IS Lewes Lights?
In an effort to close out a year of darkness with bright light and holiday joy, “Lewes Lights” is a fun & free grass roots event for all to enjoy. Lewes, Delaware, homeowners and businesses are invited to decorate their home and business exteriors for the holiday season- Register by Friday November 27th and on December 4th, the driving tour will kick off. A self-guided driving tour map of decorated homes and businesses within Lewes will be provided to the public on Dec 3rd via LewesLights.org.
