REHOBOTH BEACH, DE – While you are “staying at home” find your inner artist and register for the Rehoboth Art League’s “Oil Painting” class with local artist Joe Terrone. This Zoom class is for beginners as well as more seasoned painters and will take place on Wednesdays from January 27 through February 24, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. to Noon.
In this five-week virtual class you will learn the basic tools of oil painting to create a work of art. Each class will begin with a specific discussion topic such as color theory, composition, the importance of values, drawing skills and perspective. You will also learn how to read a tube of paint, what kind of brushes you need as well as what alternative substrate can be used. You can work from still life, photos or your imagination. As you advance weekly, you will become more equipped to understand and analyze your artwork. The cost of the class is $200 for members and $235 for non-members.

All registered students will receive an invitation by email the day before the class with a link to join the class on Zoom. To use Zoom you just need an internet connected computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone with a webcam or built-in camera and microphone.
