On Saturday, February 11th, 2023 12pm-8pm the Frederick Douglass “Day of Acknowledgement” celebration will include live musical performances by Dell Foxx Company Band, a Frederick Douglass reenactor, educational programming, keynote speakers, and more.
“This celebration will illuminate the role of African Americans in the history of the Eastern Shore and their contributions.” says Bayside H.O.Y.A.S., Inc. President John Queen, the host and organizer of the event. “It serves to be an exciting celebration and acknowledgment of the heritage and culture of the African American community.”
This event will be a full day of education and entertainment about the African American experience that will have a meaningful impact on the Eastern Shore community and is hosted by the Bayside H.O.Y.A.S., Inc.
