“Two-Fold #8” Collage by artist Zaneta Žubkova. – Contributed PhotoREHOBOTH BEACH, DE – In the workshop “Collage: Color Geometry Play” at the Rehoboth Art League on Saturday, July 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., visiting artist Zaneta Žubkova will present basic collage methods and ideas. Collage is a medium that bridges aspects of drawing, painting, textiles, photography, and print. It is as much a way of thinking as of making. Participants in the workshop will explore color in conjunction with other elements of design such as texture and line, with an emphasis on a successful merger of gouache and selected collage materials. Gouache is an opaque water-based paint that has tremendous flexibility and a short drying time. Everyone will paint and construct with color and imagery on an intimate scale to create a series of visual stories. The cost of the workshop is $50 for members and non-members.
