A St. Michaels native, Reilly joins CBMM with extensive experience in the human resources field, including a position with global aviation communications company ARINC Annapolis. She holds a bachelor’s degree in French and a minor in studio arts from College of Charleston, a technical certification from the Le Castel culinary school in Dijon, France, and a Global Professional Human Resources Certification.

Reilly currently lives in Stevensville, Md., and has spent most of her life around the Chesapeake Bay, making a job at CBMM a natural fit.

“I’ve lived my life near the water. Fishing and crabbing were my pastimes. I’ve never not watched fireworks from a boat. I’ve always had great respect for the people that work here and make their livelihoods on the water,” Reilly says. “When it became time to have my own family, and to choose where to live, I wanted them to have the same supportive community, freedom, and access to nature and water that I did when I grew up.”

Originally from Linthicum, Md., Jones will now assist with day-to-day operations in CBMM’s Welcome Center and Museum Store. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Frostburg State College and a master’s in social work from the University of Maryland.

Jones’ previous work experience has been as a social worker and administrative assistant. She’s also done volunteer work with the Maryland Therapeutic Riding Center in Crownsville, Md., an organization that provides equine therapy for adults and children.

Jones was first introduced to the Chesapeake Bay watershed by her father, who took her and her brother crabbing during summers when they were children.

The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to preserving and exploring the history, environment, and culture of the entire Chesapeake Bay region, and making this resource available to all.

Every aspect of fulfilling this mission is driven by CBMM’s values of relevancy, authenticity, and stewardship, along with a commitment to providing engaging guest experiences and transformative educational programming, all while serving as a vital community partner.
