Mount Harmon Plantation To Host National Revolutionary War Re-enactment & Colonial Festival

Mark your calendars for October 12 & 13, 2019 ~ Mount Harmon is hosting a National Revolutionary War Re-enactment & Colonial Festival featuring over 600 re-enactors and the largest colonial living history event of it’s kind in the U. S. this fall.

We will have re-enactors from all around the nation coming to bring history to life with British and Continental Encampments, Battle Reenactment of 1777 Philadelphia Campaign “The Road to Brandywine”, a Colonial Marketplace with array of colonial craft merchants and vendors, and living history activities for the whole family to enjoy.

The event will portray the 1777 Philadelphia Campaign “Road to Brandywine” when the main British forces landed at nearby Head of Elk, with skirmishes and battles in the upper Chesapeake region as British and Continental forces clashed over the quest for independence and freedom. Be sure to join us for all of the time traveling fun and see colonial history come to life, and learn more about this exciting period in our nation’s history!

Each day will feature colonial merchants, military skirmishes and battles, tactical demonstrations and drills, and of course a full-fledged Revolutionary War Encampment of both British and “Rebels” (the good guys, continental and militia groups) will be at hand.

The public will be able to: tour the encampments, shop at the colonial market faire, enjoy children’s musket drill and activities, hearth cooking, colonial crafts, and living history demonstrations, manor house tours, food and beverage court and tavern with BBQ, Crab Cakes, Burgers, Hot Dogs, Crow Winery & Bayheads Brewing Company.
