The Rehoboth Beach Arts Festival in Grove Park, presented by the Rehoboth Art League and City of Rehoboth Beach, will take place from 10 am-5 pm Saturday, May 22. This new event continues momentum for the relationship between the league and city and brings professional, practicing fine artists and artisans to downtown Rehoboth to showcase and sell their unique creations.

Known for its annual events that draw discerning local collectors as well as those vacationing from the Baltimore/Washington, DC, area as well as Philadelphia and New York City, the Rehoboth Art League is proud to present this new event as another way to bring creative minds to coastal Delaware. More than two dozen juried artists will line the pathways of Grove Park on event day to display their artwork in mediums that include painting, silkscreen, woodwork, jewelry, and mixed media. This exciting inaugural event is free and open to the public. Parking is available in downtown Rehoboth; Grove Park also is accessible by bicycle or by water at the new public dock adjacent to the park.

Festival activities also will take place at the Rehoboth Art League’s Henlopen Acres campus, including a Dogfish Head Beer Garden and special gifts for new and renewing members. Also on display is an original oil painting from the Rehoboth Beach Arts Festival’s featured artist, Janet Raesly, who has donated her framed 24”x30” Sea Glass to raise funds for RAL’s exhibition and education programs. Raffle tickets are available for purchase at RAL’s gallery and are priced one for $5 or five for $20. The winning ticket will be pulled at 4 pm May 31.

Health and safety protocols will be in place at the festival. Masks are required for entry, social distancing will be enforced, and attendees are encouraged to use hand sanitizer that will be available along the festival’s one-way pedestrian route. In the event of rain, the event will be held Sunday, May 23, 2021.

The Rehoboth Beach Arts Festival has been made possible with generous support of sponsors, including Dogfish Head, WSFS, and Community Bank, and is financially supported in part by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. The division promotes Delaware arts events at www.DelawareScene.com.
