IT’S SPRING AND TIME TO BE CREATIVE! Come join artist, Kathy Flament in making fun and fanciful molded spring flowers! Kathy will teach you how to mold, cut, shape, and assemble paper pieces into 5 beautiful poppy flowers which you will then paint in your favorite colors!

Don’t care for poppies? Then you are welcome to bring in images of any flowers you would like to create and Kathy will devise a way for you to sculpt them. Flowers created from whimsy are encouraged, too. Maybe you will want a bouquet of roosters? Or cowboy boots?

In addition to the five flowers which will look smashing in any vase, Kathy will also show you how to turn thrift store vases into art.

Once you learn the easy skill of creating paper molding, the sky is the limit! You’ll soon be making other sculptures at home such as flowers of all sorts, keep-sake boxes or animals.

Participants need to bring an apron or old shirt, 2 to 3 rags, two 6″-*8″ bowls, two 3″-4″ bowls and a thrift store vase.

Registration deadline is Thursday, June 7, 2018. Call 703-201-7157 for more information or go to mainstgallery.org to download an application form. Space is limited so register early!
