The Run to Remember Memorial Day 5K, which benefits the Wicomico War Veterans’ Memorial at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center, is set for this Saturday, May 26, 26.
The event is held on wooded trails at WinterPlace Park. Refreshments will be available following the race, and there will be overall and age group awards. Walkers are welcome to take part in all or a portion of the race.
The Wicomico War Veterans’ Memorial at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center honors the citizens of Wicomico County who lost their lives while serving the United States during war.

Everyone is encouraged to remember the sacrifices of our military by attending the annual Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 28, at 10 a.m. The ceremony will be held at the Wicomico War Veterans’ Memorial located in front of the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center. If there is inclement weather, it will be held in the Civic Center’s Midway Room.
