St. Michaels Art League Announces Awards in Their First Photography Show

St Michaels – The St. Michaels Art League (SMAL) is pleased to announce the winners of their first Photography Show. Ted Mueller, A professional photographer based in Easton and graduate of the New York Institute of Photography, served as judge.

Several categories of photography were included in the show: digital, fine art photography, and computer enhanced photos.

First Place went to Lainie Wrightson for her color photo, “Wonderfully Weathered”. The second place award went to Kathy Kopec for her black and white photo titled,”Picking Corn”. Third place went to Martin Zell’s entry, “Around Where I Live “. Three Honorable Mentions went to photos by Molly Malkus, George Merrill and Barbara Saulsbury.

The show is on view at the St. Michaels Branch of the Talbot County Library from October 1st until October 31st, during regular Library hours: Monday and Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p. m. Photography on display may be purchased through the artists.
