REHOBOTH BEACH, DE – The art of silk painting is one of the most exciting mediums of artistic expression. Silk is a lustrous and supple fabric that reacts beautifully to brilliant dyes and paints. The purity and intensity of color that emerges during the painting process is truly amazing.

During the Rehoboth Art League’s “Introduction to Painting on Silk” class on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 14 and 15, 2019from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., you can learn the relaxing art of painting on silk using vibrant Dyna-flow colors. On the first day, local artist, Joan Applebaum, will start students off with simple designs, teaching how to use gutta resist and techniques for the seamless blending of color. On the second day, participants will learn how to set the color, remove the gutta and complete a second painting. The cost of the two-day class is $85. This registration fee includes all the supplies for the class. Come to the Art League and unleash your creativity!
