Guests at the 7th Annual Art in Bloom celebration of floral art at RiverArts were treated to arrangements featuring everything from magnolia flowers and daylilies to a design incorporating peanuts and popcorn, while enjoying live music courtesy of Paul Santori, prosecco, gourmet hors d’oeuvres – sushi, anyone? – and a raffle featuring garden – themed gifts. The designs were inspired by the artworks exhibited by RiverArts’ June exhibition, “Fine Arts and Contemporary Craft,” a multi- media juried show of paintings and 3D artwork.

Participating designers at this June 23, 2019 event were Sam Arrow, Mary Broadhurst, Sydney Brookes, Jessica Coner, Frank Creegan Darla Downer, Mary Ann & Annie Herron, Susan Kratsel, Joan Lausman, Amos Rudderow, Rebecca Taylor and Susannah (Sukie) Tilghman. The People’s Choice award went to Sukie Tilghman, for her design. Runners up were Mary Ann & Annie Herron and Amos Rudderow.

The event raised $1500 in support of the RiverArts Summer Camp scholarship fund, enabling 5 children to participate in art camp. Sponsors included The Finishing Touch, and The White Swan Tavern; The Mill at Kingstown and Redman Farms contributed to the garden raffle.
