The Calendar Turns a Page

Op-Ed

As the calendar changes the page from December to January, and 2019 to 2020, the ChesaDel Crier will in this incarnation will soon be turning 2. Has it turned into what I had hoped? Not exactly. But I do think that it has served well as an informational source of Art and Entertainment News on the Delmarva Peninsula.

There are a couple of things I will be working toward in 2020.

As those who are regular readers know, most of the pasting are republishing Press Releases and other information on events that are sent to me. I am planning to reach out to more organizations, especially those in Central Delaware, Maryland’s Lower Eastern Shore and the Eastern Shore of VA asking them to send information to share.

I have been working on a couple of projects that on the service would seem to be separate projects, but can be combined. I have been working on a book on the history and heritage of the peninsula for nearly 15 years. I have set it aside for nearly a decade mow, and it’s time to pull it out, brush it off and bring it to reality. The other is the photographic project Delmarva Scenes. Looking at them today, it seems natural to bring those together.

The weekly Delmarva Scenes’ Photo of the Week will continue in 2020. The new goal is to, at least once a month, have the photo be more of one that shows the history and heritage of the peninsula.

In case you weren’t aware, the Photos of the Week are available as Prints. Just contact me at Photos@ShoreToBeFun, to purchase.

You may have noticed that the there are very little advertising on here. And I want to keep it that way. However, I am looking for a site sponsor as well as a sponsor for the “Update – eNewsletter”. If you want more information on these Sponsorship Opportunities, please contact me at Advertise@ShoreToBeFun.com.

Also some news sites have have gone to online subscriptions. I have no plans to do this, however if you feel that you would like to support the ChesaDel Crier this way, you could get Support/Subscription. More information on Support/Subscriptions and others ways to support can be found at ChesaDelCrier.com/Support
