The City of Newark announces tonight’s Main Street Alfresco outdoor dining event has been canceled due to anticipated thunderstorms.
On Monday, August 10, City Council agreed to extend the functions through the end of the month to promote safe, family friendly alfresco dining experiences. The additional events will be held from 4:00 until 9:00 on August 19 and 26. Participating restaurants, retailers and nonprofit organizations include:

Parking is available in Newark municipal lots 1, 4, 6 and 7. Kiosks are located throughout the lots and available for on-street parking as well. Drivers are also encouraged to download to Passport Parking app for convenient touch-less payments.
