Exhibitition Sussex

REHOBOTH BEACH, DE – The Rehoboth Art League’s Annual Holiday Fair—Fine Craft Show returns to the Henlopen Acres campus the weekend of November 7 & 8 for a unique pre-holiday shopping opportunity. The event, now in its 36th year, brings a group of juried fine artisans to the League’s 3.5+ acre property, where they set up booths in several buildings. Patrons can stroll the grounds to purchase ceramics, jewelry, glass, basketry, fiber art, and much more. The Rehoboth Art League will continue to require masks to enter buildings, and galleries will have one-way traffic flow with available hand sanitizer. Social distancing will be enforced.

Food and drink will also be on campus, courtesy of The Point Coffee House and Bake Shoppe, offering packaged, takeaway breakfast and lunch options that can be enjoyed in our outdoor seating areas. Dogfish Head will offer a selection of craft beer in the ‘Paynter’s Pub,’ and purchases support our exhibition and education programs.

An exciting raffle is an annual part of the Holiday Fair, and this year, exhibiting artist Linda Hill has donated an original piece of artwork, titled Resist 2. This digital collage is inspired by the centennial anniversary of the 19th Amendment. Each Holiday Fair admission comes with one complimentary raffle ticket, and additional tickets may be purchased in the Corkran Gallery. The winning ticket will be drawn at the close of Hill’s RAL exhibition, December 14, at 4pm.  Visitors to campus will also want to take a chance at winning original artwork donated by Holiday Fair artists in the event fundraising auction, which is on display in the DeWitt Gallery but also available online.

Holiday Fair hours are Saturday and Sunday, 10a.m. to 4 p.m, and is held rain or shine.  Entry is $5 per person and children under 12 are admitted free. For additional information about the event at the Rehoboth Art League’s historic campus, visit www.rehobothartleague.org or call 302.227.8408. This event is supported, in part, by a grant from theDelaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.
