Chestertown RiversArts created a New Paint the Town for 2021 that celebrates artwork and painting with their Plein Air, Paint the Town Plus. On Friday, June 4, 2021 they had Tented Exhibit in Fountain Park, Chestertown of Plein Air Artists.
The Artists picked the Best of Show. The winning Artist was Carole Cowie with “Life is but a Dream.
Second place was a tie between Diane Rappisi, Chesapeake Cove and Barbara Stepra, Sad Sunny Porch.
RiverArts Paint the Town Plus continues tomorrow, Saturday, June 5th with a Judged QuickDraw Competition and Sale: Onlookers will be able to observe Plein Air painting throughout Chestertown from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Judging, awards, and wet paint sale will follow immediately afterwards. The ever-popular Farmers’ Market will coincide with the QuickDraw event, attracting throngs of visitors who will no doubt delight in the opportunity to watch the artists, see the paintings and judging, and purchase artwork to take home.
