New Date Set for May 14th, 2022!
Friends & Sultana Supporters,
Although we are sad to say it, we are all going to have to wait just a bit longer to party together.
Considering the spread of Covid-19’s newest variant and uncertainty about how the pandemic will progress in September, the Sultana Education Foundation (SEF) has made the difficult decision to postpone its Annual Gala, scheduled for September 18, to May 14, 2022. SEF is taking this step out of concern for our guests, the region’s health care workers, and to reduce community spread. Existing tickets and sponsorships will automatically transfer to this new date unless a refund is requested.
While disappointing, there is plenty to be excited about (and do!) at Sultana this fall, including:
– The schooner SULTANA will sail again on Labor Day Weekend after an almost two-year Covid induced break. SULTANA has a busy schedule of school and Public Sails through fall.
– SEF’s paddling programs have taken record numbers of people onto the Bay in 2021, and we have a robust schedule of Public Paddles set for fall.
– Downrigging Weekend is still on for the weekend of October 29-31, 2021.Yahoo! Visit www.downrigging.org for details.
In lieu of our Gala, SEF is developing a series of smaller, less formal events for members, including events at the Holt Center and at SEF’s new Lawrence Wetlands Preserve. Keep an eye on your email and social media feeds for additional details.
