Oil painting by local artist Bill Patterson who is teaching “Oil Painting” at the Rehoboth Art League – Contributed PhotoREHOBOTH BEACH, DE – Come indulge your inner artist at the Rehoboth Art League by taking “Oil Painting” with local artist Bill Patterson. This class is for beginners as well as more seasoned painters and will take place on Tuesdays from August 20 through September 10 from 6:15 to 8:15 p.m. Using photographs, the class will examine the arrangement of compositional elements and learn how to rearrange the elements for a stronger composition. They will learn how to view the selected photograph in order to make the transition from photo to painting more manageable. They will also examine value, use of color, hue, intensity, and temperature while completing their paintings. The cost of the class is $100 for members and $135 for non-members.
