Classes Talbot

Logo: Contunuum DanceSt Michaels, MD – Beginning January 11, 2019 Continuum Dance will offer monthly open modern dance classes in collaboration with the Perkins Family YMCA. These classes are a great opportunity for individuals of all dance levels to experience modern dance—including those with no dance training.

Scheduled on the second Saturday of each month from 10:30am-12noon, Continuum Dance will offer a public master class at the Perkins Family YMCA in St. Michaels. Classes will be led by rotating instructors—the company’s Artistic Director, Company Director, and other company members will alternate instruction. Participants will be led through warm-up, modern dance movements, and will learn a short segment of performance choreography, all while breaking down the basic structure and progressions of a modern dance class.

The 90-minute open modern dance classes are great for anyone looking to get moving and have fun. While designed for adults, participants of all ages are welcome to attend. Students under the age of 16 should be accompanied by a participating adult. Classes are free for current YMCA members or $12 per person for non-members, with payment made upon arrival with cash, check, or credit card.

Participants who are not YMCA members will be asked to sign a guest pass application upon arrival and show photo identification. For participants under the age of 18, a legal guardian must check in the participant with photo identification.

Advance registration for these events is encouraged at www.continuumdancecompany.org/upcoming-events/.

Continuum Dance extends a special thank you to the Perkins Family YMCA for hosting these events.
